SINOPSIS
Raja Haji Fisabilillah ibni Daeng Celak, ibnu Sulaiman Badrul Alamsyah (Daeng Marewa) is a National Hero from the land of Malay, Riau Islands, leader of the Riau-Lingga Kingdom. Raja Haji Fisabilillah was a brave, tough figure, respected by friends, and feared by opponents, was able to unite the kingdoms that were fighting over territory, property, and throne. The influence of the cultivation of a strong aqidah/creed and the value of Malay customs, gave strength to Raja Haji Fisabilillah to be able to stand tall on his own land, fighting the invaders bravely.
This struggle was then continued by his grandson Raja Ali Haji, who was a scholar, expert in law, language and literary arts, fighting to defend the truth and uphold justice through education, language, and literary arts. His monumental and world-famous work is Gurindam Dua Belas, which contains stanzas of poetry related to aqidah/creed, worship, muamalah/social transactions, also good and bad morals. The stanzas were sourced from verses of the Qur'an and hadith.
This book reveals and reconstructs the story of the struggle of Raja Haji Fisabilillah and Raja Ali Haji to uphold the truth on this beloved earth. An important work to be read by the Indonesian people in reaffirming the spirit of nationalism and patriotism.
